This little peg locker is by no means necessary for the tripod torch to work, however it is a wonderful little peice to add some rigidity when there kids or pets walking around the campsite.
What was needed. Much more stable now. Didn't feel the need to stake it.
The leg locker was definitely worth the purchase. It gave the Tripod Torch the extra stability it needed. I can now easily move the tripod without the legs moving. I also find that with the leg locker attached I don’t need to stake the unit down unless it is really windy.
A great upgrade for the tripod torch. Improves the stability of the torch without much weight. Get it!
